If ever there was a food that brings back warm memories of growing up, that takes me to a happy place, or that just plain hits the spot, it has got to be apple crisp. Just the thought of the cinnamon and nutmeg blending perfectly with the apples and the buttery, sweet, crisp topping leaves my mouth watering.
As I head into my weight loss journey, I decided I am going to need as much comfort as I can find. So I pulled out my recipe book and planned out these single-serving bowls to prevent me from sitting down and eating the 8x8 pan of crisp by myself. Each serving is just enough and at 232 calories each, you might even have room in your count to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
